Hoola Hoop Fun!

Its amazing to me all the fun things you can find at either the dollar store or think to recycle to have lots of fun on the ground training/horse Agility training/proofing you can do with the horse’s.

Here were a few of the games we played.. The easy ones were the rear and the over the head and around the shoulders, as both are broke to drive these were pretty easy and steady..

Then we did some walking with the ring around each foot, not really in the way, just bump, bump, bump

and so this is great for working on them being steady about things on or around their legs, things passing under their bellies from side to side..

Now we are doing a step in (Sam had more trouble figuring out to not step on it, but that is training in and of itself)..

we finally got sam to step in properly, but getting him to stay while I backed up to my “spot” was the real challenge, he wants to creep forward and come to me..

Brandy on the other hand, being more advanced, not only stepped in, stand while I walk away on lead, but she was ground tied, while I walked away, counted to sixty came back, released her, then repeated with backing her out of it, and then last third time, did a finished with a large circle around her before coming up beside her and leading her out..
